It extentend to west of the Community they Ascend, between the council of Alghero and of Bosa in province of Sassari. Wet from the sea for a length of 14 kilometers, with costs high and very jagged, that they go from "Poglina" to "Sa Murena". A caracteristic beach is placed in a small inlet called the "Torre Abbandonata", near which rises the church of the Speranza -Hope.  The hills of the costs reach the 500 meters and from steep seasonal torrents come down seasonal waters that in the area of "S'istrampu de su Segnore" create a form a waterfall of all respect.

The territory reaches the greatest height (718 m) in the point goddess "Pedra Ettori", "Stone of the Victory", to memory of a victorious battle of the inhabitants of the place against the Turkish predators; the zone today also is known like "Pigada de sos Turcos" (Ascended of the Turks). Other important mountains are Mountain Fulcadu, mountain Cuccu and Mountain Ruju. To south, long this road, cut out on the sea the harsh and lonely expanses of Head Marargiu. The territory of Villanova had inhabited in period a lot more ancient of the birth of the urban center. They are present, in fact, numerous archeological sites of considerable importance.
